Role description
WesBank has committed to providing youth with the opportunity to gain work experience, over a 12-month period, as well as an opportunity to undertake a select learnership. The opportunity is created to enable young people with not much formal work experience a chance to be more employable in future.
The 12-month Data Science learnership stream will focus on teaching learners critical Digital Skills that are in high demand in South Africa and globally. To be accepted onto this learnership, applicants will have to complete an assessment that will assess your level of problem solving, analytical skills, structured thinking etc. During the learnership, participants will have the opportunity to apply theoretical learning into practice in the workplace.
The 12-month New Venture Creation/Entrepreneurship stream will provide learners with the appropriate skills and knowledge to establish and develop successful small to medium business ventures. This qualification will also address the economic, administrative, and behavioural (psycho-social) barriers that contribute to success in starting and sustaining a new business venture. During the learnership, participants will have the opportunity to apply theoretical learning into practice in the workplace.
Role requirement
· 18-34 years old.
· South African.
· Unemployed.
· Not studying.
· Have a matric (must have a matric certificate).
· Have good communication skills.
· Must live in and around Randburg.
· Not Blacklisted.
· No Criminal Record.
· Willing to do a learnership (study and work at the same time).
