ABOUT THE POSITION
An exciting permanent position is available for an Enrolled Nurse Theatre experienced at a Private Hospital in Cape Town. If you are interested don’t hesitate to apply, this might be the next exciting steppingstone waiting for you.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Preparing a patient for theatre.
- Scrubbing in theatre.
- Floor nurse in theatre.
- Ensuring all theatres, scrubs, drapes & instruments are sterile and prepared for surgery.
- Ensuring the sluice room and clean store are kept in order.
- Administrative and record keeping.
- Drug register.
- Patient dressings and wound care.
- If not busy in theatre, assist with clinical work in the front office section.
Job Requirements:
- Qualification as an Enrolled Nurse
- SANC registered
- Relevant previous experience in the theatre environment required.
- Ability to work shifts according to the operational requirements of the hospital
- Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role players would be an advantage
