Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Dis-Chem Pharmacist, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care.
  • Evaluating patients’ medicine-related needs for safety and effectiveness.
  • Dispensing medicines accurately, including patient counselling.
  • Monitoring patient compliance and initiating follow-ups.
  • Handling regulatory processes, pharmaceutical compounding, repackaging, and stock control.

Requirements

To qualify for these pharmacist job openings in South Africa, applicants must have:

Essential:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • BPharm or equivalent qualification
  • Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
  • 2–3 years’ pharmaceutical or retail pharmacy experience (including internship)
