What You’ll Do
As a Cashier, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Operating an electronic point of sale system with an attached scale
- Accurately ringing up all items and providing the correct change
- Balancing all payment methods during cash-up
- Keeping the till area clean and hygienic
- Delivering exceptional customer service at every interaction
- Staying informed about product codes, promotions, and advertisements
- Managing your time effectively, especially during peak hours
Requirements to Apply for Retail Cashier Job Opportunity
To qualify for this opportunity, you’ll need:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Good command of English
- A clear criminal record
Preferred (But Not Required)
- South African citizenship
- At least 1 year’s experience as a cashier
- Living within 15km of the job location
Working Conditions
- You must be willing to work 6 shifts per week, including Sundays and Public Holidays
- Shifts cover both trading and non-trading hours
- You will report directly to the Till Supervisor
