Job Responsibilities and Duties
This General Assistant Retail Opportunity includes multiple tasks within customer service, housekeeping, and safety. Responsibilities include:
Customer Service
- Greet and assist customers
- Provide product knowledge and advice
- Handle customer queries and complaints
- Promote add-on sales (e.g., paint brushes with paint)
- Load purchases carefully and promptly
- Guide customers on additional services: deliveries, bulk deposits, glass cutting, credit programmes, and more
Housekeeping
- Keep aisles clean and safe
- Merchandise stock quickly after receiving
- Ensure clear shelf price labeling
- Complete daily checklists for canteen and restroom areas
Safety & Security
- Adhere to all OHSA safety guidelines
- Use required safety gear
- Prevent injury or obstruction in your work area
- Report any hazards or discrepancies to store management
Loss Prevention
- Identify missing stock displays
- Report suspicious behavior
- Never load products without proof of purchase
Requirements
To qualify for this General Assistant Retail Opportunity, candidates must meet the following:
