Duties and Responsibilities of the Learnership Plating Training Programme

Participants in the Learnership Plating Training Programme will be expected to:

  • Understand and engage in all programme objectives and training modules.
  • Follow health and safety requirements at all times.
  • Complete all practical and theoretical modules on time.
  • Participate in workplace safety and risk assessments.
  • Report inconsistencies or training challenges to supervisors.
  • Maintain open communication with peers and management.
  • Contribute positively to a safe, inclusive, and effective work environment.
  • Build strong relationships with team members and stakeholders.
  • Participate in continuous personal and professional development.

Requirements for the Learnership Plating Training Programme

To qualify for this Learnership Plating Training Programme, applicants must meet the following:

  • Grade 12 with Mathematics, Physical Science, Drawings & relevant trade theory (minimum 40% in all).
  • OR N2 with subjects in Mathematics, Engineering Science, Plating & Structural Steel Drawings, and Trade Theory.
  • OR NCV Level 4 Engineering with 40% in all subjects.
  • Must pass a medical fitness assessment.
  • Clear security screening.
  • Must not have a Section 28/26D Trade Certificate.
  • Successful candidates will undergo an interview and psychometric assessment.
