About the Learner Plant Operators Programme
This programme is open to both internal and external candidates. A total of six positions are available for Learner Plant Operators at Kendal Power Station under the Human Resources department. Duties and Responsibilities: Kendal Power Station Training
- Participate in institutionalised learning and on-the-job training.
- Follow Eskom’s policies and health and safety regulations.
- Report to assigned mentors and training supervisors.
- Attend and pass all theoretical and practical assessments.
- Engage with colleagues and supervisors as part of daily operations.

Minimum Requirements: Kendal Power Station Training
- Grade 12 with 50% in Maths, Physical Science and 40% in English
- Or N3/N4/N5 with Trade Subjects
- Or NCV Level 4 with similar subject performance
- Or National N6 Certificate, National Diploma, B Tech, BSc Eng or BEng in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Electronics
Other Requirements:
- South African citizenship
- Must submit a certified ID and qualification (not statement of results)
