The position reports directly to the Risk and Security Manager and plays a crucial role in managing safety, health, environmental, risk, and quality processes.


Job Responsibilities: SHERQ Administrator Takealot CapeTown

SHE Management

  • Implement and maintain the SHE management system
  • Ensure files, permits, and compliance documents are up to date
  • Identify and mitigate safety risks
  • Coordinate evacuation drills and emergency response plans
  • Conduct toolbox talks and coordinate SHE inspections
  • Assist with internal and external SHE audits
  • Manage hazardous goods and injury reporting
  • Report monthly on SHE compliance

Blue Area Management

  • Implement the Blue Area SOP
  • Coordinate meetings and display SHE/5S information
  • Update templates and layouts per standards

5S Management

  • Maintain 5S SOP and audit schedules
  • Lead red tag events and 5S training
  • Create and report on 5S dashboards
  • Assist in maintaining red-tag zones

  • SAMTRAC Certificate
