As a Cash Office Clerk, your main responsibility will be to handle cash operations, deposits, and reconciliations efficiently and in line with the company’s standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Duties and Responsibilities – Cash Office Clerk Vacancy
In this role, you will:
- Count and record payments received according to set specifications
- Ensure all cash from drivers is submitted, balanced, and captured in the receipt report
- Record all deposits in the Drop Safe Register and ensure proper sign-off procedures
- Prepare cash for banking and maintain the Deposit Register
- Ensure 100% alignment between Deposit Register and bank deposit receipts
- Rectify anomalies and conduct daily reconciliations that balance with the system
- Handle filing and administrative tasks to support site operations
- Credit all site cash efficiently and maintain accurate records
Requirements for the Cash Office Clerk Vacancy
To qualify for this position, you must:
- Have Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- Possess 2 years of cashier experience and 2–3 years of admin experience
- Be available for 12-hour rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
- Have previous bakery or FMCG industry experience (advantageous)
- Thrive in a high-pressure environment
