Requirements for Armed Protection Officer Jobs
To qualify for Armed Protection Officer jobs, you must meet these minimum requirements:
- Education: Grade 10 minimum (Grade 12 preferred).
- Registration: PSIRA Registered (minimum Grade C).
- Firearm Competency: Valid Business Purposes Firearm Competency.
- Experience: 1–3 years of Armed Response experience.
- Licenses: SAPS Competency Certificate, PTTC statement of results.
- Transport: Own transport and a valid driver’s license.
Security Checks and Shifts
Security checks: All candidates will undergo background security checks, including a polygraph test.
Working hours:
- 12-hour shifts
- Monday to Sunday
- Day shift: 05h00–17h00
- Night shift: 17h00–05h00
