Job Description

As a General Assistant Job Position, you’ll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. Your duties will include stock management, shelf price labeling, and ensuring the store layout is followed for optimal merchandise presentation.

  • Customer Service: Assist customers with selecting products and resolving their queries.
  • Merchandising Standards: Ensure stock is displayed correctly according to the store’s planogram and layout.
  • Housekeeping: Keep your work area free of obstacles, ensuring a safe and smooth flow for customers.
  • Safety Compliance (OHSA): Follow safety procedures, ensuring both staff and customer safety within your area of responsibility.
  • Stock Loss Management: Report any damaged stock to the Store Manager.

Requirements General Assistant job position

  • Grade 10 (with 1 year of work-related experience) or Grade 12 without related work experience.
  • Ability to communicate in English and the local language.
  • A valid South African ID or work permit.
  • Ability to perform basic calculations.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Must be able to work under pressure.
