About the Opportunity
This is a strategic initiative by Dis-Chem Pharmacies to identify and pre-screen qualified candidates for future CCTV Operator roles. Being part of this talent pool increases your chances of employment when suitable roles become available.
As a CCTV Operator, your role is to provide security surveillance in accordance with the Private Security Industry Regulation Act. You will monitor activities using CCTV systems, report irregularities, and protect Dis-Chem’s staff, assets, and property.
Minimum Requirements: CCTV Operator Talent Pool
Essential:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- PSIRA Grade C Certification
- 1–3 years CCTV control room experience (warehousing/distribution)
- At least 1 year experience in pharmaceutical warehousing
- Hikvision system experience
Advantageous:
- 2+ years experience in pharmaceutical CCTV monitoring

Key Responsibilities: CCTV Operator Talent Pool
Surveillance and Monitoring:
- Operate CCTV systems and monitor all activities on the premises
- Report suspicious activity and enforce safety procedures
- Respond to emergencies and assist relevant authorities
- Control access to premises and ensure proper authorization
Operational Support:
- Complete surveillance reports and maintain occurrence books
- Monitor alarms, patrol premises, and follow up on incidents
- Comply with all company SOPs, health and safety regulations
Investigations and Prevention:
- Conduct ethical investigations
- Implement loss prevention strategies
- Enforce rules to reduce theft, damage, and internal risks
CCTV Operator Talent Pool Competencies
- Strong PSIRA compliance and CCTV proficiency
- Excellent communication and report writing skills
- Problem-solving, self-management, and time awareness
- Microsoft Office and Hikvision system knowledge
Employment Information:
- South African citizens only
- Valid driver’s license and own transport preferred
- Clear criminal and credit record required
- Willingness to work overtime and be on standby
