About the SPARK Acting Principal Job Role

As Acting Principal, you’ll be responsible for student achievement, staff development, and ensuring a strong school culture. This temporary leadership role is based at the Rosslyn Hub in the Pretoria/Tshwane region. You’ll work alongside the Assistant Principal(s) and School Operations Manager to maintain high standards across academics, culture, and operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Lead the academic program with rigour and creativity.
Analyse data to inform teaching and operational decisions.
Cultivate a high-performance, inclusive school culture.
Manage and mentor teachers through consistent coaching cycles.
Build partnerships with families and the broader community.
Handle budgeting, staffing, onboarding, and disciplinary processes.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 certificate (compulsory)
Completed B.Ed or PGCE degree
Registered with SACE
Clean criminal record
3–4 years of excellent classroom instruction
Previous leadership or team management experience
Familiarity with South African labour laws
