Administration Clerk Post at Department of Infrastructure

Job Purpose

The Department of Infrastructure, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a competent individual to manage and supervise road worker maintenance teams whilst performing road maintenance on Proclaimed Road Network in the West Coast Area. This post is based in Malmesbury.

 

Minimum Requirements

Grade 10 (or equivalent qualification); A minimum of 3 years relevant experience; A valid (Code EC) driving licence with professional drivers permit (PDP).

Recommendation

Experience in the following: Civil construction activities; Operating large construction machines; Management and supervision of staff; Administrative related experience.

Key Performance Areas

Plan, supervise and undertake road maintenance activities; Determine material quantities for road maintenance activities; Define road defects and undertake corrective measures; Safeguard work areas in terms of the Occupational Health and Safety Act; Train subordinates.

 

Competencies

Good understanding of the maintenance and repair of defect on roads and within road reserves; Conflict and diversity management; Skills needed: Communication (verbal and written); Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; Ability to work in a team; Self-motivated.

 

Remuneration

R 171 537 per annum (Salary Level 4)
