Duties & Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the Armed Response Officer include:
- Respond swiftly to security alarms and incidents.
- Conduct routine perimeter and site inspections.
- Secure premises and protect property and individuals.
- Report incidents and complete detailed documentation.
- Maintain strong communication with control room operators.
- Uphold the values of professionalism, vigilance, and teamwork at all times.
- Assist in crisis situations and ensure client safety.
Requirements
To qualify for these Armed Response Officer Jobs, you must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Grade 10 minimum, Grade 12 preferred.
- Security Registration: PSIRA Grade C (valid).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in the security industry.
- Firearm Competency: Handgun for business purposes.
- License: Valid driver’s license held for at least 2 years.
- Fitness: Physically fit and medically healthy.
- No criminal record; willing to undergo ongoing checks.
- Computer literacy is an advantage.
- Must reside in or around Cape Town.
