Duties & Responsibilities Health security officer vacancy

  • Supervise internal and contract security personnel
  • Monitor and manage access control points
  • Conduct risk assessments and enforce safety measures
  • Review shift reports and escalate relevant incidents
  • Perform regular walkabouts and patrols
  • Handle conflict and assist with aggressive patients
  • Escort visitors, manage CCTV, and oversee control rooms
  • Report losses and perform incident documentation
  • Ensure security infrastructure (locks, doors, gates) is maintained
  • Counsel and manage staff as per departmental code

Requirements for Health security officer vacancy

  • Grade 12 certificate or equivalent (compulsory)
  • PSIRA Registration – Grade A or B
  • 3–5 years of experience in a security or safety role
  • Computer literacy: MS Word, Excel, Email, PowerPoint
  • Conflict resolution, negotiation, and report-writing skills
  • Knowledge of:
    • CCTV, access control systems
    • Firearm control and MISS Act
    • Criminal Procedure Act and safety regulations
  • Willingness to work shifts and long hours
  • Strong communication and supervisory ability
