Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates. This position is open only to South African Citizens or Permanent Residents.

Job Responsibilities
As an Artisan Fitter, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Performing engineering installations to agreed standards and specifications
- Maintaining engineering equipment according to schedules and procedures
- Repairing equipment efficiently while ensuring high mean time to failure
- Ensuring full compliance with SHEQ, M&RC, and client safety policies
- Promoting cost containment and process improvements
- Supervising and motivating a disciplined, high-performing team
- Building strong stakeholder engagement and communication
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent (NQF Level 4)
- Section 26 Fitter Trade Certificate (e.g., MIETTB or similar)
- Certified through a recognised training institution such as:
- Olifantsfontein (pre-1994)
- ESTC – James Park
- Goldfields Training Academy (GFA)
- Contract of Apprenticeship signed off by the employer and Department of Manpower
- Valid First Aid Certificate
- Valid Code EB Driver’s License
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong fault-finding, planning, and organisational skills
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
