What is the Eskom YES Programme?
The YES initiative is a public-private partnership driven by the Presidency to provide South African youth with their first work experience. Through Eskom’s YES Programme, successful applicants will be placed in departments such as:
- Human Resources
- Finance
- Maintenance & Operations
- Business Enablement
- Asset Creation
- Retail
This placement will help youth develop workplace skills and build professional competence over the course of a 12-month fixed-term contract.

- Rustenburg
- Klerksdorp
- Mmabatho
- Brits
- Taung
- Vryburg

Who Should Apply?
To be eligible for the Eskom YES Programme, you must:
- Be a South African citizen
- Be between 18 and 34 years old
- Have a Grade 12 certificate with Maths and Accounting
- Have no previous full-time work experience
- Not be studying full-time in the current year
- Not have participated in the YES programme before
