Title: Empowering youth retail careers
JumpStart Programme for Empowering Youth Retail Careers
Youth unemployment in South Africa remains one of the country’s most urgent challenges. Over 62% of individuals aged 15 to 24 are currently unemployed. To address this crisis, the Mr Price Foundation introduced the JumpStart programme, designed to equip young people with practical, in-demand skills for the retail and manufacturing industries.
The programme is completely free of charge—Mr Price Foundation will never request any payment to apply. This initiative aims to create access to job opportunities, build confidence, and open pathways to success for young South Africans.
