About the Position

SBV is looking for reliable candidates to join its nationwide cash processing team. As a Cash Processor, you will be responsible for end-to-end cash handling and accurate transaction processing in line with strict policies and security protocols. This position ensures that clients’ deposits are processed efficiently, securely, and in full compliance with SLAs and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Key Responsibilities for SBV Cash Processor Job

As part of the SBV cash team, you may perform a combination of the following duties:

Cash Receiving & Preparation

Receive and log deposits on internal systems
Inspect containers for tampering or damage
Prepare deposits for accurate note counting
Sort and verify notes for FDP/ACDP processing
Identify and separate rejected, counterfeit, mutilated, or dye-stained notes

Transaction Reconciliation & Processing

Perform cash reconciliations and end-of-day balancing
Ensure accurate entry of shortages/surpluses per SOPs
Process desktop deposits while keeping customer deposits separate
Validate bank system-linked transactions

Coin, Change & Payroll Processing

Sort and process teller coin transfers
Execute payroll/change transactions according to client SLAs
Seal and secure float packs for dispatch

Prepack and Treasury Duties

Assist in packing/unpacking ATM and bank cash
Monitor and manage consumables
Record bag and seal numbers accurately

Equipment Use and Risk Management

Operate all equipment as per SBV standards
Report defects or delays promptly
Comply with all security and risk protocols

Minimum Requirements for SBV Cash Processor Job

Education:

Matric (Grade 12) with Maths Literacy

Work Experience:

6–12 months in a teller or cashier role (advantageous)

Training:

Successful completion of SBV Cash Processor Training
