Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) invites young, talented individuals to apply for the Coca-Cola In-Service Training opportunity in the Manufacturing Department at the Midrand plant. This 12-month programme offers hands-on engineering exposure to help students complete their National Diploma.
This opportunity is perfect for those currently completing a National Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and looking to gain practical industry experience as part of their qualification.
Job Description
As an In-Service Engineering Trainee, your role will include inspecting, maintaining, and repairing production equipment to meet operational goals. You’ll work under the guidance of the Plant Manager and be part of a team focused on efficiency, safety, and innovation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Coca-Cola In-Service Training
- Proactively maintain and repair machinery as per maintenance plans
- Help optimize equipment availability and reduce downtime
- Apply theoretical engineering knowledge in a real-world manufacturing environment
- Assist in achieving departmental efficiency targets
- Work collaboratively with plant teams on engineering tasks

- Sound understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering principles
- Mathematical and scientific reasoning
- Fast learner with strong problem-solving abilities

Minimum Requirements: Coca-Cola In-Service Training
- Grade 12 with Mathematics & Physical Science (NOT Maths Literacy), passed with 40% or more
- Passed two South African languages with 40% or more
- Currently studying towards a National Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Completed all theoretical modules and require practical exposure
- No prior in-service training completed at another company
- Must be between 18-35 years old
- Must be unemployed at time of appointment
- Must provide an official letter from your institution requesting workplace experience
- South African citizen and Employment Equity candidate
