Job Description
CASHIERS NEEDED AT SPAR , your main responsibility will be to process customer purchases accurately and efficiently, ensuring a positive shopping experience. You will also be required to maintain store cleanliness and adhere to company policies and procedures.
CASHIERS NEEDED AT SPAR Key Responsibilities
1. Operating Front-End Equipment:
You will handle different payment processing systems, including:
- Point of Sale (POS) Terminal
- Debit Card Terminal
- Speedpoint
- Veri-cheque
- Smartbox
- Zip Zap
2. Processing Various Payment Methods:
You must be proficient in handling different payment options, such as:
- Cash
- Cheques
- Gift Vouchers
- Bank Cards
- Pensioner’s Cards
3. Stock Control & Store Operations:
- Ensure stock is correctly scanned and accounted for.
- Assist in maintaining hygiene, safety, and housekeeping standards in the store.
- Ensure signage and pricing are updated correctly.
4. Customer Service Excellence:
- Provide friendly and efficient service to all customers.
- Handle customer queries and complaints professionally.
- Assist with general store duties as needed.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Matric Certificate (NQF Level 4 equivalent)
- Previous cashier experience (either part-time or as a trainee)
- Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and customer service skills
