Role Purpose

We are looking for a skilled professional to handle credit vetting, activations, and transfer of ownership processes. The successful candidate will work within our customer acquisition team, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.


Vodacom Call Centre Agents Key Responsibilities

As part of this role, your responsibilities will include:

Credit Vetting & Application Processing

✔ Assess credit vetting requests manually in accordance with company policies.
✔ Process customer credit applications while balancing market growth and risk management.

Customer Verification & Activation

✔ Confirm and validate customer and contractual information before activating services.
✔ Accurately activate post-paid GSM and non-GSM subscriber requests on Vodacom’s billing system.

Transfer of Ownership & Query Resolution

✔ Process ownership transfer requests efficiently.
✔ Provide telephonic support to Trade Partners and customers.
✔ Address queries regarding credit vetting, activations, and confirmation failures.
✔ Escalate unresolved queries through the appropriate channels.

Customer Service Excellence

✔ Ensure fast and effective customer acquisition service levels.
✔ Maintain high-quality standards with professionalism and product knowledge.


Ideal Candidate Profile

The right candidate will have:

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • 1 year in a call centre environment (Credit Vetting) – essential.
  • Previous Credit Vetting experienceessential.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 – essential.
  • Credit-related Diploma – desired.

Vodacom Call Centre Agents Required Knowledge & Skills

Job Knowledge

  • Credit vetting processes and decision-making.
  • Customer verification, validation, and confirmation.
  • Customer creation and activation procedures.
  • Transfer of ownership processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data capturing.
  • Experience in call centre operations.
  • Familiarity with Vodacom’s billing system – desirable.

  • Ability to handle irate customers professionally.
  • Excellent oral communication and listening skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
