Location: Beaufort West Local OfficeMinimum Appointment Requirements: 
Senior Certificate plus an undergraduate qualification (NQF level 6/7) as recognised by SAQA in the relevant field coupled with 3 years’ supervisory experience (Social Security). Computer literacy and Valid Driver’s license essential
Understanding of Grants Administration, SASSA’s constitutional mandate, relevant policies and legislation in the Public Service will be an added advantage.
The incumbent will be responsible for the Coordination and supervision of various functional areas within the Local Office; Promote Service Delivery interventions rendered by SASSA in the management areas of service; Management of staff at lower levels; Performing other generic functions and ensure adherence to Section 57 of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA, Chapter 6, Part 3).Important notes: This post is advertised with the minimum requirements. ADMINISTRATIVE CLERK: SUPPORT SERVICES

Minimum Appointment Requirements: 
Matric certificate (NQF Level 4) with 0-1 year working experience. Computer Literacy is essential.
Added advantage: Driver’s license and/or administrative/clerical experience.

The incumbent will be responsible for keeping logbook of pool vehicles and ensure the maintenance of thereof, keep appropriate registers updated, keep register of assets and do regular follow-ups to update the register. Check for completeness of HR documentation, forward all HR request to be finalised at Regional/District office level. Have a filing system in place aligned to the master file plan of SASSA, opening and closing of files, represent the Local Office in various meetings, forums, committees, Assist with the arrangement of meetings and special events or awareness campaigns.

Obtaining quotations if not available, write motivation and attached comparative schedule, send through for approval to District/Regional Office for approval, ordering of items, Receipts, check and book items in accordance to the delivery note, Arrange for payment of invoice. Receive a VA2 from supervisor, issue stores (officers’ sign for receipt), send to Regional/District Office for approval. Ensure adherence to Section 57 of the Public Finance Management Act (PMFA, Chapter 6, Part 3).

Minimum Requirements: Candidates should have a Senior Certificate plus an undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6) as recognized by SAQA in the relevant field coupled with 3 years’ experience in Grants Administration; Computer literacy is essential.

Added advantage: A valid driver’s license will be an added advantage

Duties: The incumbent will conduct verification of grant applications (approval); oversee the quality of the administration of social grants by Grant Administrators and advise Grant Administrators on policies and processes within the grants value chain and supervise staff at the Local Office Level; Check completeness of documents and supporting documents; verify application and means test; Approve or Reject Applications; Process other grant documentation / Perform other grants value chain functions; Oversee the quality of the administration of social grants and advise on policies and processes within the grants value chain; Manage staff performance and resources as well as to ensure adherence to Section 57 of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA, Chapter 6, Part 3).

The Employment target for both positions: Preference will be given African Male followed by White Male and Indians / White Female respectively as at the time of appointment.
