Duties & Responsibilities

As a Data Capturer for Maintenance, your role will include:

Data Capture

  • Receive job cards from the Engineering Planner and artisans
  • Accurately capture maintenance job card information into the system
  • Generate and distribute reports on maintenance performance metrics

Maintenance Planning Support

  • Assist with prioritizing maintenance tasks alongside the planner
  • Generate and print job cards from the system
  • Capture ad-hoc maintenance requests and generate corresponding schedules
  • Distribute schedules to engineering controllers
  • Capture results post-maintenance and ensure timely task closure

Downtime & Performance Tracking

  • Display and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for performance tracking
  • Monitor downtime and support continuous improvement initiatives

Team Collaboration & Reporting

  • Effectively communicate with team members and other departments
  • Contribute to team development and VPO (Voyager Plant Optimization) initiatives
  • Ensure accurate reporting capabilities are maintained

Visual Management & Data Management

  • Apply 5S principles to maintain workspace organization
  • Ensure high levels of accuracy in data management
  • Minimize data backlog and ensure data integrity

Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) certificate is essential
  • Minimum 1 year in a similar data capturing or administrative environment
  • Experience with computer literacy (MS Office, CMMS systems advantageous)
  • 3–6 months on-the-job training will be provided
