Duties and Responsibilities: General Worker Driver Assistant
As a key member of the logistics team, your responsibilities will include:
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
- Assisting the driver with directions and offloading
- Reporting any delivery-related problems promptly
- Recording deliveries and securing client signatures
- Cleaning and maintaining the truck daily
- Completing general housekeeping duties as required
- Assisting in unloading delivery vehicles at the depot
- Following all reasonable instructions from your supervisor
Requirements for General Worker Driver Assistant Job
To be successful in this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 / Matric / NQF Level 4
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy items repeatedly
- Proven experience in transport, warehouse, or manufacturing
- Clean criminal record and medically fit
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
