The Old Mutual Insurance Learnership offers unemployed youth the chance to earn an Occupational Certificate: Insurance Agent (Underwriter) NQF Level 5. This learnership provides theoretical training combined with workplace experience to help you gain practical knowledge in the short-term insurance and trade credit insurance industries.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a learner, you will:
- Assist insurance underwriters with daily administrative and client-facing tasks
- Participate in training workshops and on-the-job learning
- Gain exposure to Old Mutual’s business units and insurance processes
- Support the business in delivering customer-focused services
- Learn from some of the most experienced professionals in the insurance industry
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this learnership, you must:
- Be a South African citizen
- Be currently unemployed
- Have Grade 12 with Mathematics or Math Literacy and two languages
- Not be currently studying or planning to study during the learnership period
- Not have more than 1 year of work experience
- Not have participated in an INSETA learnership before
- Have a clear criminal and credit record
- Disabled candidates must provide a valid medical certificate
- A post-matric qualification is advantageous but not required
