Duties and Responsibilities
As a Fraser Alexander general worker, your daily responsibilities will include:
- Performing inspections in designated work areas
- Assisting supervisors with planning and tailings material management
- Connecting and extending pipelines
- Opening and closing operational valves
- Supporting operational problem-solving and reporting deviations
- Practicing good housekeeping at all times
- Complying with all safety and disciplinary procedures
Minimum Requirements
To qualify, you must meet the following:
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 or Equivalent
Experience:
- 0–2 years of experience in an earth-moving or similar industrial environment
Additional Requirements:
- Prior experience in tailings dam or mining operations is advantageous
- Ability to understand standard operating procedures
- Medically fit for mining conditions
- Able to pass the mine’s criminal screening process
- Willingness to work overtime when required
- A valid driver’s license is a plus
